Vor dem unterzeichneten Standesbeamten erschien heute der Persönlichkeit nach bekannt, der ansässige Schneider Eli Dagobert PEINE wohnhaft zu Friedrichsgruen im Hause Nr. 56, evangelisch-lutherischer Religion,und zeigt an, daß von der Emilie Anna PEINE, geborene FRIEDRICH, seiner Ehefrau, evangelisch-lutherischer Religion wohnhaft bei ihm zu Friedrichsgruen in seiner Wohnung am achten September des Jahres tausend acht hundert und achtzig nachmittags um sieben Uhr ein Kind weiblichen Geschlechts geboren worden sei, welches die Vornamen Dora Linna erhalten habe. Olive (Illinois) USA , Litchfield (Illinois) USA, N: Services for Ruth Lillian Saathoff, of Litchfield, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Plummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Langhoff, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday in the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Saathoff died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 23, 1998, in Heritage Manor. She was 73 years old on August 28. She worked at St. Francis Hospital and at Litchfield Creamery Company before she retired. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church. She was born in Mt. Olive, a daughter of Gustav and Lina Peine Viehweg. She married George John Saathoff on May25, 1926, in Mt. Olive. He died in 1969. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Dittus of Litchfield and three grandchildren, Dana Klim and husband William of Jackson, Mo., Lori Jacobs and husband James of San Diego, Calif., Jane Dittus of Edwardsville; and three great grandchildren.Preceding her in death were brothers, Erwin, Waldmer, Herbert, Edwardand Roland Viehweg, and a sister, Leah Carson. Services for Ruth Saathoff, of Litchfield, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Plummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Langhoff, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery. Musical selections were "The Lord'sPrayer" and "How Great Thou Art." Pallbearers were Eugene Viehweg, Donald Viehweg, Rev. Gary Scheller, Ronald Saathoff, William Klim and Joseph Meyer.
